Privacy policy

INTRODUCTION

This privacy policy governs the use of the website Justus.org.nz and the software application Justus (“Application”) for mobile devices, created by App150 for Pillars Inc. This website and the Application provide helpful information to children with a parent in prison, their caregivers, and professionals who assist these children.

By using this website and the Application, users are consenting to JustUs processing of their information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended from time to time. These terms form a binding legal agreement between JustUs Global Limited, registered company no. 3733376, (JustUs) and the users of this website and the Application.

COLLECTING INFORMATION

The Application does not collect specific, personal information from users. Certain information about the mobile devices of users is automatically collected including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device users have, their mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of users’ mobile devices and their mobile operating systems, and the type of mobile Internet browsers users run.

The Application collects information about the location of users’ mobile devices. Using this location information, JustUs will send users notifications from time to time in either specific or all locations. Users are given the options to receive all or none of these notifications.
The Application gives users the option to share about the Application through their own Facebook and Twitter accounts, and users manage this use of their social media accounts.

USING COLLECTED INFORMATION

JustUs receives from users anonymized data about the use of the Application, indicating total numbers of visits, average length of time spent on the Application, which Application pages were visited, and the mobile device operating system.

JustUs may disclose collected Information as required by law, to comply with legal processes or law enforcement, or when JustUs believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect JustUs’ rights, protect the safety of users and others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;

Trusted service providers working with this Application, including Pillars Incorporated, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement. JustUs will take reasonable steps to ensure that any third party trusted service providers will adhere to this JustUs privacy policy.

Users can easily stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling the Application. They may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of their mobile device or via the mobile application store.

JustUs will retain User Provided and Automatically Collected data for as long as they use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Users may request the deletion of User Provided Data provided via the Application by contacting enquiries@justus.org.nz Pillars will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.

JustUs does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or caregiver becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at enquiries@justus.org.nz. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

JustUs are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of user information and provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the JustUs offices process and maintain. For example, access to this information is limited to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve the Application. Please be aware that, although every endeavour has been made to provide reasonable security for information JustUs process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES AND ADMINISTRATION

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. These changes will be notified by posting them at http://www.jsutus.org.nz/privacy/ Users are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
